We are so happy to present "Take One Fat Chicken," the Yeager family cookbook. Several years ago, Jason asked for Mom's Chicken Dressing recipe. Her handwritten instruction to "take one large fat chicken" struck us as a fantastic name for a cookbook. It seems fitting that name be used to create a collection of recipes from all the great cooks in our family. Inside are recipes that emanated from a time when cooks created from staples on hand, dairy products from their cows and fruits and vegetables they had preserved. Many others are those that have been handed down for two or three generations; some remaining intact, others being tweaked to reflect more modern tastes. Still others are based on today's cornucopia of available ingredients. Some had their origins in other cookbooks, some came from friends, and others are original creations. Regardless, they all sound absolutely delicious! Enjoy!
